About Erin Kirkpatrick (she/her)
NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS
Erin is a licensed professional counselor (LPC) and certified art therapist (ATR). Erin holds a Master’s degree in Art Therapy Counseling from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and has over eight years of clinical experience working with a variety of populations including children, adolescents, adults, and individuals with developmental disabilities. Erin’s most recent clinical focus has been working with children ages 4-14 who are coping with anxiety and depression, as well as providing support/coaching for parents.
Although Erin is experienced in using traditional talk therapy approaches with clients, she specializes in assisting clients in utilizing their own inherent creative power to gain insight, increase mindfulness and incite positive change. Erin strongly believes that creativity is our human birthright, and that all people, regardless of age, ability or perceived “talent” have the power to create in some way. Erin meets each client where they are at in the therapeutic process, providing a playful, warm and inviting space to engage, drawing upon client-centered, attachment, and strength-based theoretical approaches.
Erin’s areas of clinical focus include:
Children struggling with transitions (to new school environments, new siblings, divorce, or parental health concerns)
Parent coaching/support
Familial conflict
Grief and loss
Post-partum depression
Depression/Anxiety
